Sandalford to join Swan Valley showcase at Parliament House

Sandalford Wines will join the City of Swan at Parliament House, Canberra as part of the Swan Valley and Surrounds, Endless Experiences showcase on 23 June 2015.
The City is presenting this inaugural event in association with Ken Wyatt MP, Federal Member for Hasluck; Hon Christian Porter MP, Federal Member for Pearce; Luke Simpkins MP, Federal Member for Cowan; and Alannah McTiernan MP, Federal Member for Perth.
Sandalford CEO Grant Brinklow said Sandalford is committed to ongoing excellence and looks forward to being part of the showcase. “Sandalford Wines has a 175 year history of producing award acclaimed winning wines from the Swan Valley (and for the last 45 years in Margaret River too), and today under the Prendiville Family ownership, continually strives to deliver truly world class wine and wine tourism experiences including multi Gold plate winning food and beverage outlets, retail and tour facilities catering for more than 100,000 per annum, along with outdoor concerts attended by audiences of up to 16,000 persons per event with past performers including STING, Michael Buble, Tom Jones, Cliff Richard, Spandau Ballet, John Mellencamp, Alicia Keys and Leonard Cohen,” he said. “We look forward to joining the group to further cement the Swan Valley and surrounds as a tourism region worthy of a national, if not international, stage.”
City of Swan Mayor, Charlie Zannino, said Swan Valley and Surrounds, Endless Experiences will be a chance for those who are passionate about the region to spread the word in Canberra. “Swan Valley and Surrounds, Endless Experiences is taking the crème de la crème of the region’s offerings to Canberra and putting them in front of a national audience,” he said. “Businesses from the Swan Valley and surrounding area will be involved in the presentation in Canberra, promoting their produce, wine or business and allowing them to develop a stronger professional network with contacts from interstate and overseas. Businesses such as Sandalford will be helping us to share the good news about the region, where we have come from, what we have to offer a wider audience and where we want to go from here.”
