Melbourne Cup Celebrations in Perth

November is fast approaching and the question on everybody’s lips is where will you be watching the race that stops a nation?
If Flemington Racecourse is a little to far for you this year don’t worry because Perth is offering a variety of social events with just as much action, celebration and fashion.
The George is playing host to a Melbourne Cup Luncheon kicking off at 11am.
Tickets cost $85 per person and will include a welcome Pimms cup cocktail and a delicious three course lunch.
All the action from Flemington will be live on the big screen and there will be live entertainment from 2pm.

The Quarter on Hay is partnering with Karen Millen and Delamotte Champagne to host a fashion forward lunch.
From 11am head chef, Douglas Kerr will be preparing a delicious 4 course meal to enjoy while watching the race.
Bookings and pre-order are essential, tickets are $99/head and you can pre-order a bottle of Delamotte Champagne at $90 a bottle.
The Aviary is hosting two events, the first is in The Birdcage and includes a 3 course lunch with a Pimms cocktail on arrival.
There will be prizes for best dressed and best hat with sweeps also available, tickets are $85 pp.
The other event is at The Nest and is only $45 a person and includes canapés and a Pimms cocktail.
Red Herring’s traditional Race Day is on again this year and are hosting a lunch that includes a glass of Leeuwin Estate sparkling and a 3 course meal.
There will also be a fashion show with Models by Viviens walking the show, sweepstakes and great prizes for best dressed. Tickets are $140 pp.
Bluewater Grill in Applecross will be presenting a three course menu, a fashion parade and fantastic entertainment.
With their very own emcee keeping you entertained throughout the day, sweepstakes will be available and loads of prizes will be up to grabs. Wines from Domaine Chandon and Cape Mentelle will be available to purchase on the day.
The Old Brewery is celebrating the Melbourne Cup with a 3 course gourmet lunch and great WA wines. There will be a fashion parade and prizes to be won throughout the day, tickets are $120 pp.
Rigby’s Bar in the Forrest Centre Tavern have a choice of lunch packages for the race, for only $15 you can get a Rigby’s lunch buffet.
It is $30 pp for a buffet in a private room with a private bar and wide screen TV or for $60 you can get canapés in the verandah including unlimited Houghtons wines, house beers and soft drinks.
Frasers Restaurant is serving up a 3 course meal and an afternoon of entertainment at Frasers Melbourne Cup Event.
The glamorous MC, Barbie Q will be performing her own dance routines, there will be sweepstakes available and wines from Domaine Chandon and Cape Mentelle for purchase.
The Byrnleleigh will host a 3 course lunch with Pimms cocktail upon arrival.
You can watch the race on the big screen and go in the running to win a prize for best dressed. Tickets are $75 for members and $85 for non members.
Valley View Restaurant will project the race on their big screens and have prizes for best dressed.
Tickets are $65 pp and include drink packages and lunch with canapés.
Mindarie Marina Function Suite are hosting an indulgent after noon of racing fever with first class service and ocean views.
Tickets are $85 per person and paparazzi will be taking photos all day so you can keep the memories forever.
Rydges Hotel are throwing a Cocktail Party on the Terrace, tickets are $79 pp and includes canapés and a 3 hour beverage package.
The Vic Hotel has a set menu in the Atrium or Courtyard for $69 or a seafood buffet in the Mezzanine for $129.
James Wilson is Playing live at 2pm and prizes and sweepstakes are available.
Ramon’s at Willow Pond is holding a lunch from 11:30am – 2pm with a 3 course set menu with choice of main.
Wanneroo Villa Tavern are hosting a lunch buffet for $39.90 with a carnival atmosphere, live music, sweeps and prizes. All the action will be shown in the sports bar on the big screens.
Wolf Lane is having an after party from 3pm and continues the celebrations of the day.
Zephyr Mediterranean Cuisine will be doing a 3 course set meal for the race at $65 per person. It starts at 11am and there will be prizes awarded for best race-day hat. Bookings and a deposit are essential
