A new hospitality-training program was launched earlier this week to improve customer service in W.A ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in October.
Customer service in Perth often fluctuates due to the high turnover of wait-staff, and is something that Australian Hotels Association (WA) feels needs to be addressed.
The training program (aptly named the Service with a Smile Program) is aimed directly at operational staff and will cover customer service, response to complaints and teamwork.
The program has been developed by AHA WA, and will be launched by Premier Colin Barnett to coincide with CHOGM, which is being regarded as the biggest event in WA in the past 40 years.
AHA WA Chief Executive Bradley Woods has said that this initiative will raise the bar for customer service in the State significantly.
