If you love a movie that is filled with action, humour, loyalty and some gruesome scenes then End of Watch will be right up your alley. I went with expectations of another cop film with a car chase and fighting scenes but this was completely different.
It is about two LAPD officers, Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Pena) who are marked for death after they complete a drug bust on one of the largest gangs in LA. End of Watch is shot as though Brian Taylor is filming his life on a camera for a project. It is raw and gritty, but it is a well written story of friendship and loyalty. This movie is not for the faint of heart, as there are a few scenes that make you want to turn away, but you can’t as the film is so captivating.
This movie has twists and turns that nobody saw coming and as you leave the cinemas you are left in awe of what just happened.
