Screen Shot 2015-09-16 at 11.43.14 amRhiannon Birch – winner of last years BWEB Signature Dish Competition – has been working alongside several schools to spread the news on the value of Lupin.
Along with Chef Scott Bridger, Rhiannon has showcased several recipes that were used at a recent WA Canteen Conference to promote the use of lupin in schools.
Students from John Wollaston, Methodist Ladies College and Mercedes College have responded well to the challenge  of  designing a meal that features this new product.
The aim of the workshops in the schools is to design a tasty meal for the 5000 meals program. These recipes will be used by over 30 schools next year!
Ultimately, the goal is to highlight the use of Lupin in everyday cuisine. Lupin is not just the protein for the future but is the protein of the now!
