Thanks to its stunning scenery and great hospitality service offered in the Margaret River region, the State Government has announcement a new international food and wine event for the southwest region, this November.
The Margaret River Gourmet Escape is anticipated to be a top-notch food and wine event that’ll showcase the southwest region on a global scale.
CEO Bradley Woods of the Australian Hotels Association (WA) said the event will provide fantastic exposure for Western Australia on the world gourmet stage and the Margaret River hotel and hospitality sector have so much to offer to it.
“The Gourmet Escape is already attracting some of the world best chefs and restaurateurs and no doubt more will join the line-up as we draw nearer to the festival 21 – 25 of November this year,” said Woods.
Amongst the illustrious names locked in for the event is owner of the famous Fat Duck restaurant in the UK, celebrity-chef Heston Blumenthal and also Rene Redzepi, the man who put Nordic countries back on the map of gastronomy and proud owner of Noma, one of the top restaurants in Denmark.
“The Margaret River Gourmet Escape is going to be a truly international standard event hosted by the Margaret River region and will provide fantastic exposure for Western Australia on the world gourmet stage,” said Woods.
