The York Art & Craft Awards hold an important place in the Western Australian Art & Craft scene and now attract around 300 entries each year from some 150 artists and craftspersons. Awards are offered in six categories of Art and five of Craft. There is an Award for a ‘Young Achiever’ and two special, optional theme awards – one in art and one in craft. The theme this year is “Time”. Awards are also offered for the best entrants from an Avon Valley resident in each of art and craft and another award is made to a work that best depicts the ‘Blandstown’ area of York.

This event takes place at the York Town Hall. For all inquiries please contact The York Society on 0428322167 or arts.yorksociety@westnet.com.au. To stay up to date visit www.theyorksociety.com.au or www.facebook.com/yorksociety

The interest in the awards is State-wide and attracts entries from established as well as developing artists and craftspeople. Entrants must be residents of Western Australia.
