At a progressive dinner last week for food journalists and food bloggers which included cocktails at Wolf Lane, champagne & delicious canapes at The George, an array of scrumptious mains at the Public House and finally another cocktail and dessert at the Aviary, The Publican Group announced major plans to grow the hospitality group further in the next two years, placing a strong focus on larger diverse sites across Australia. They have just taken over the iconic Guildford Hotel, which will open in late 2015 after extensive restoration and refurbishments to bring it back to its former glory.
Co-owner of the Publican Group, John Ahern, explained that the hospitality industry is constantly evolving, and therefore the group aims to continually push the boundaries in an effort to maintain their position as industry leaders. I have to say that they certainly do a great job, both with the fabulous food and drinks at all four of the venues, and their marketing team who put together a great event and made sure everything ran smoothly on the night.
