Judging for the 2017 Perth Royal Beer Awards has now wrapped up after an intense two days at the Claremont Showground, with Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists to be announced on Friday 30 June, at the Perth Royal Beer Awards Dinner.
The awards, presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, have historically attracted more than 600 entries from commercial, mid and small sized craft breweries, microbrewers and home brewers. Over 70 categories and 15 trophies including best lager, ale, stout, reduced-alcohol and wheat beer are judged and awarded each year.
The judging panel was led by esteemed Melbourne-based Justin Fox, head of sales, products and development at brewing ingredients supplier Bintani Australia and the former head of brewing at Colonial Leisure Group.
And, for the first time in the awards history, RASWA are offering the public the opportunity to partake in the Exhibitors Tasting held at the Claremont Showground in the Centenary Pavilion on July 1 from 2pm.
