Oktoberfest is Germany’s biggest festival but we like to celebrate it in Australia as well. It’s all about beer! Some people even dress in German traditional costumes and dance to German “Oompah” bands while downing copious amounts of amber brew.
Matso’s Brewery in Broome had their Oktoberfest at the beginning of the month, but there are many more events coming up including:
- Oktoberfest in the Gardens at Langley Park, Perth CBD – Saturday 8th October 2pm – 10pm
- The South West Oktoberfest (Margaret River Region) – Saturday 15th October 2pm – 11pm
- HopsToberfest – Oktoberfest Perth Hills Style bringing the tastes of Germany to HopsScotch – relax, explore with friends and family every Saturday in October.
- The Swan Valley’s largest beer garden festival at Elmars’ in the Valley – Saturday 15th, Saturday 22nd, and Saturday 23rd October 11am – 5pm
- The bier will flow on October 22nd at Zapfhall in Fremantle
