Mundella Foods again receives National Recognition by Dairy Industry

Mundella Foods, Western Australia’s premier dairy company was awarded eight medals (five gold and 3 silver) for their quality products in the 2013 Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) Dairy Product Competition, which were announced at the 2013 DIAA Awards of Excellence Dinner in Melbourne on 9 May 2013.
The 2013 DIAA Australian Dairy Product Competition was judged on 18-20 March 2013 in Werribee,Victoria. In addition to their swag of medals Mundella Foods’ Greek Honey Yoghurt was awarded the Pro-Analytics Award, for the highest scoring Greek-style yoghurt in the competition.
Their Greek Honey Yoghurt scored 18.83 points out of a possible 20. 40 DIAA judges evaluate each product based on technical merit including appearance, texture and flavour.
As Gold medal winners, Mundella Foods have automatic inclusion for their gold medal products into the Australian Grand Dairy Awards to be held later this year.
The family owned business has long been recognised for their premium dairy products, winning awards and accolades in the past decade at local and national awards. Recent accolades include the 2013 Sydney Royal Easter Show –Champion Yoghurt, 2012 Perth Agricultural Society of WA – Champion Dairy Product, and 2012 Australia Grand Dairy Award Champion for their Natural Yoghurt.
