Fancy DressThe fifth Muchea Youth Festival was held on Sunday 29 March 2015 at Sandown Park.  This year the festival had an added element ~ equine events and entertainment!
Over 50 competitors enjoyed a number of western riding events, including barrel racing, western bending, cup racing and the ever-popular keyhole race.  At lunchtime over a dozen ‘pretty little ponies’ paraded in fancy dress and spectators were also wowed (literally) by Teenage Rampage.  Teenage Rampage are a WA all girl trick riding team who very kindly offered their services free of charge for the event.  A huge round of applause goes to the South Midlands Polocrosse Club for hosting this part of the event.
Nearly 600 people attended throughout the day, with the lure of the opportunity to try out the largest bungy trampoline in WA plus the chance to test themselves out on the inflatable obstacle course and enjoy the view from top of the climbing wall.  There was much sumo silliness in the inflatable suits.Youth Krew and Polocrosse
For those looking for something a little more sedate the local Lions were offering train rides and if all the action was too hot the Muchea Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade popped over with two fire trucks for a little water-related shenanigans!  All this, plus live local entertainers and bands on the stage, thanks to the efforts of the local Bindoon Open Mic group.
