Your Choice

Funky and stylish, Metro Bar and Bistro ticks all the right boxes. Located in the Perth Convention Centre complex on the ground floor of the Medina Grand Apartments, Metro provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Boasting the city’s largest outdoor terraces accommodating up to 200 people, Metro provides a perfect atmosphere for enjoying the warmer weather.
Serving modern Australian cuisine the menu offers selections perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. In fact, Metro’s is open from 7am til late seven days a week, giving you the opportunity to pop in for a classy cocktail, mid-morning coffee or late night snack.
Speaking of classy cocktails, Metro has a sleek bar area offering an array of choice from ice-cold beers to local and imported wines.  But if you’re stuck with your selection why not try the ‘Cocktail tasting plate’? The brainchild of food and beverage manager Brooke Pozzi this innovative spread offers the choice of four cocktails with a selection of mixers tailor made to suit Perth’s serious cocktail drinkers. At $35 it’s a steal and an ideal starter to a night out with friends.
To accompany your drinks, Head Chef Ann Wilson has created a selection of tasting plates to stave off those hunger pains. Try the ‘Upscale plate’ a meat-only plate featuring peppered beef, duck liver parfait, Chinese style barbeque ribs, and sage and garlic quail. Large enough for four people to share, this plate is a carnivore’s delight.
If cocktails aren’t your style then Metro has a wine list to match the fanciest of fancy. Try the 2008 Jed Malbec. This Argentinean wine is easy drinking and lovely to sip whilst pecking away at the ‘Upscale plate’.
For something lighter the ‘Half shell scallops’ is a lovely nibble. Salty yet slightly sweet these meaty molluscs match brilliantly with the 2009 Loosen Bros. Riesling. Hailing from Germany this fruity wine is also a delectable drop in its own right.
For mid-week lunches Metro is undeniably a winner. Pop in for a succulent beef burger and a pint of Boags on the terrace and watch the world float right by. For only $18 this ‘Burger and Boags’ combo is great value for money and comes complete with fries.
The ‘Crispy skinned barramundi’ is also a great lunchtime meal. To run the risk of sounding like Goldilocks, this not too heavy, not too light dish is just right to keep those hunger pains at bay.
The menu ranges from burgers, pizzas and hearty mains to share plates, salads and stylish appetisers providing something for everyone and every occasion.

Bookings can be made for corporate and private functions and with a range of seating available Metro can cater to your every need.
With plenty of parking and only a stone’s throw from the train station, Metro is the perfect starting point for a night on the town, a mid-week catch up or a stylish quiet end to the night – it’s your choice.
