Victoria Park craft beer bar, the Dutch Trading Co., has been crowned Australia’s Best Beer Venue by a panel of industry experts for Beer & Brewer magazine. This follows consistent recognition – the venue placed 2nd in 2017 and 5th in 2016.
Owner Joel Beresford said that the award was equally exciting and humbling.
“This week we are celebrating our third birthday and this honour is more than we could have expected.”
“Over the past three years our team have worked incredibly hard to deliver, not only a great beer venue, but a space that can be enjoyed by everyone in the community. For all of us, it’s amazing recognition, especially from a nation-wide panel, but it’s also very humbling.”
“There are some excellent venues on the list and I’m proud that there are many from Western Australia. We have such a great beer scene in WA and the growth of not only breweries but quality venues focussing on craft beer is a testament to that.”
The Victoria Park venue rotates through 26 taps of the most interesting local, national and international beer. The kitchen delivers gastro-pub meals in a venue that welcomes the curious to the most informed beer geeks.
