KFC Chickens Not ‘Free To Roam’

The KFC fast food chain has been forced to remove statements from its website claiming that their chickens “roam free”.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) claimed that due to the amount of chickens confined in one area, this would not be possible.
The KFC website had said their chickens were able “to roam free in large, clean, air-conditioned barns with continuous access to fresh food and clean water”, but this has since been altered.
The term “free to roam” still remains a difficult term to define,  particularly in the consumer industry.
