Inaugural South West Craft Beer Festival a cracker

Last weekend, Menu Magazine headed to Margaret River for the inaugural South West Craft Beer Festival.  Held at the 3 Oceans Palandri Estate, the festival took place over two days, with 12 breweries and one cidery in attendance.
Punters were entertained with brewer interviews and live music, including Triple J unearthed winners, Split Seconds and local favourite, Cowtown.
Beery highlights included an outrageously hoppy Wolf Pale Ale from Duckstein and the dark, rich and spicy St Nick’s Christmas Ale from Bush Shack. Despite some inclement weather, the festival was a cracking success, with barely an empty seat to be found across the entire weekend. Palandri’s manager, Craig Cumming, has been serving local craft beer at his venue for years and is keen for the festival to become an annual showcase event.
