Chef Heather Biggs of Karrimah Farm has been awarded the IFWTWA Culinary Excellence Award, thanks to her hard work and dedication to her field.
Heather is a long-time culinary educator who has chosen to focus on a specific world cuisine that has become her passion: Mexican Cooking.
Her cooking classes are extremely well-run, interesting,  funny and informative with a delicious buffet at the end. She has travelled to Mexico several times to add authenticity to her classes and dishes. She even has a side table of beautiful still-life photos of Mexican markets and bowls of her own home-grown chillis beside it.
She also provides easy recipes with sources, and grows her own ingredients (she is the first Western Australian to successfully grow tomatillos in WA).
Congratulations to Chef Biggs for this momentous achievement!
The IFWTWA (The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association) prestigious award recognizes the best of the best in culinary achievement around the world.
