On the weekend of 16 and 17 February, Araluen will be running the 15th Araluen’s Chilli and Herb Festival in the beautiful surrounds of Araluen Botanic Park.
Tickets are $22 (+ booking fee) per adult, with free entry for anyone under 18 accompanied by an adult. They can be purchased online here.
The festival includes local and interstate stallholders selling all things chilli and herb – from beers, cocktails, and food, to jam, sauces, and plants to grow your own chillies and herbs at home. Plus, live cooking shows and plant growing talks, live music, School of Rock kid’s entertainment, chilli eating competition and more. To help celebrate all things Chilli and Herb, there are also special guest appearances by internationally renowned Chilli Heads, Johnny Scoville (USA) and Darren Hackett (Australia).
Darren Hackett, the instigator of the Global Chili Chompers Hot Sauce Awards* will be presenting the awards on Saturday 16 February with the ceremony being internationally broadcasted through Johnny Scoville’s successful YouTube Channel. **
Johnny Scoville will be talking Chilli with patrons who have the chance to listen and talk to him while being part of his “Chase the Heat” podcast and YouTube videos.
