hoy pinoy 2As Perth continues to find its foodie groove, an exciting new event is about to make its mark at the Perth Cultural Centre. In association with Eat Drink Perth and WAtoday Good Food Month presented by Citi, the first Night Noodle Markets will hit the city, over 12 nights from 18 – 29 March, 2015.
Night Noodle Markets Creative Director, Gail Williams says, “Pork buns, dumplings and fried chicken…what’s not to get excited about? Three of my favourite things coming together under Perth’s balmy night skies with a backdrop of the city.”
“This event coming to Perth just proves that we are getting better and better with summer food festivals, and with so many new Chinese chow houses jumping on board there will be even more reason to celebrate.”
The Asian hawker-style pop-up markets will comprise 25 pop-up stalls, including three bars, showcasing cuisines including Modern Asian, Korean, Thai, Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese.
Affordable bite-size offerings starting from $10 each will be available from the best of Perth’s Asian restaurants such as Print Hall’s Apple Daily Bar & Eating House, Low Key Chow House and newcomers such as Lucky Chan’s Laundry and Noodle Bar.
Chris Rose from Low Key Chow House said, “We’re very excited to be involved in the inaugural Noodle Night Markets. Come March, Northbridge will be a buzz with great Asian flavours and Low Key is proud to be part of this first event.”
Joining Perth will be an Eastern States Night Noodle Market favourite, Hoy Pinoy - showcasing its legendary Filipino fare - pig on a stick, as well as Daniel San, Lets do Yum Cha and Teppanyaki Noodles.
