It’s all about meeting the locals at this years Entwined in the Valley, with over 50 unique events popping up around the Swan Valley from Thursday 12 – Sunday 15 October.
From intimate wine tastings in secret cellars and roving musicians on town corners to exclusive dinners under the stars, there is something to cater to every taste and whim.
Hallmark events include the latest outdoor installation by Fervor, featuring collaboration with bush tucker expert Dale Tillbrook and his wonderful bespoke menu. Held at historic Lilac Hill, this long table five‐star event will be the talk of the town!
Or join in Alchemy and the Magic of Charcoal where local artists, food artisans and the community will come together to enjoy slow food and charcoal cooking. With a combination of local food and arts, this unique event will be a weekend highlight.
In another Entwined first, FUNK Cider are running a competition to find a new cider flavour, to be available on‐tap for the event weekend, and acknowledged with a VIP cellar door dinner. If you think your tastebuds have the a answer, then get onto the entwined website and submit your ideas during September for your chance to see your cider immortalised at FUNK!
City of Swan Mayor Mick Wainwright said Entwined was getting bigger and better every year. “For food and wine lovers, Entwined in the Valley is a real treat, and with an expanded collection in 2017 we’ll have even more activities to get involved in.” he said.
“The festival affirms the City of Swan’s commitment to supporting the local producers that make up this wonderful region, including Winemakers, local businesses and producers alike. “There’s so much good food and wine in the Swan Valley and we invite people to come and discover it. We’ll be showcasing wine, beer, food, art, comedy, music and culture over four glorious fun filled days.”
Located just 25 minutes from the bustling Perth city centre, the Swan Valley is home to an ever growing list of talented chefs, winemakers, brewers, artists, chocolatiers and honey and nougat producers.
