The Wine Industry Scholarship was introduced in 2016 in recognition of Bill Jamieson for his contribution to the society and the development of the WA wine industry. Valued at up to $12,000, the scholarship provides financial assistance for up to two years to a student undertaking tertiary study in a wine related discipline to help support their career in the wine industry.
The Advanced Wine Judges Scholarship was also introduced in 2016 and was developed by the RASWA Wine Committee to support education in agribusiness. The scholarship is named after John Hanley, AO in recognition of his 43 years of contribution to the Perth Royal Wine Awards. Intended to support the development of excellence in the WA wine tasting sector, this award allows the winner to attend one of the pre-eminent Wine Sensory Evaluation courses in Australia.
Further information regarding the course can be found at www.raswa.org.au under  education.
