MATSO165-Copperhead-decalMatso’s Broome Brewery is known for its Ginger and Mango Beers but providing a tasty range of beers for its Broome community, locals and tourists alike, has always been their Head Brewer’s goal.
The brewery has journeyed into a keg-only limited release of its Copperhead IPA which will be available in Broome, Perth and Melbourne. The beer is hopped and dry hopped with Galaxy, Cascade and Amarillo while also including a hint of Kimberley boab powder, one of the highest sources of Vitamin C in the world. The name Copperhead refers to the term used for the old deep sea divers, including the Broome pearl divers.
When asked why he decided on an IPA, Head Brewer Dave Phillips said, “Personally I just love to brew and drink this style of beer. A good IPA has the perfect balance of bitterness, hop aroma and malt flavour.
“The Copperhead IPA is on the conservative side compared to some American IPAs however, the idea of this beer is to be well balanced and enjoyable whilst giving you a nice fruity hop aroma.”
On tap currently only at Scarborough Beach Bar and then as a growler fill and in store bottling at Cellarbrations Carlisle.
