On Saturday mornings in Broome there is a great little market just up the road from Moonlight Bay Suites where we were staying, and we spent a very enjoyable few hours wandering around the markets, buying souvenirs and soaking up the Broome ambience. We bumped into our friends from Kimberley Coffee and sampled some of their brew, as well as purchasing some coffee beans and a couple of unusual tea mixtures to take home. Then we went back to Matso’s Brewery to try their dinner menu – Chilli mango mussels and Fish of the Day – and some more of their great ginger beer. We had a good chat with Matso’s head chef Sebastian Schacher.
After lunch we caught the bus to Cable Beach, where we saw the famous camels, had a swim and caught a few rays on the beach, and watched an incredible sunset, before trying some yummy dishes at Zensai – the new Japanese restaurant at Cable Beach Resort.
