The Avon Valley Vintage Festival is set to return to the Northam Recreation Centre in 2014 on the Labour Day weekend at the beginning of March, with a huge selection of Antiques & Collectibles, free antique valuations, a vintage car display, a vintage poker den, kids rides, market stalls, wine tastings, arts & crafts, a vintage bicycle display, vintage clothing, historical displays, a licenced bar and much much more. Be sure to go along in your best vintage/retro outfit as there will be a best-dressed competition.

The absinthe flambe provided a sweet, smoky, savoury flavour which was much better than any ‘shrimp thrown on the barbie’. Accompanied by a tintiri and chilli sauce, sour notes from the tamarind and heat from the chillies provided further flavour dimensions to the dish.
