March 12 & 13, 10am – 5pm
The Esplanade Reserve, Fremantle

Since its humble beginnings at Araluen Botanic Park in 2003, Araluen’s Chilli Festival has grown yearly to become one of Perth’s major cultural events, attracting almost 20,000 foodies, families and chilli lovers to the stunning shaded grasslands of the Esplanade Reserve, Fremantle.

The Festival will be held across the weekend of March 12 and 13 from 10am to 5pm each day and the team at Araluen are shaking things up with a spicy new theme for 2016 – Bollywood!

Celebrating all things chilli, the Festival will host a wide range of stallholders exhibiting chilli beer, chilli cocktails, chilli sauces, chilli dessert and everything hot in between.

Some of WA’s finest chefs will be showing off their creative skills on stage demonstrating unique ways to spice up your life.

The Bollywood twist will add a vibrant feel to the Festival this year with bolly-good entertainment provided by our friends at The Spice Merchants and Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

So challenge your taste buds with Perth’s Hottest Chilli Sauce, buy your own chilli plant and learn how to care for your hottest new addition from local garden celebrity John Colwill. Or if things get too hot to handle simply sit back, relax amongst the pines and enjoy the live music or meet the crew from Mix 94.5, enjoy the entertainment, kids activities and of course the delectable food and beverage from some of Perth’s best.
