ANOTHER WELCOME BOOST FOR PERTH HOTELS

The Australian Hotels Association (WA) commends the WA Government for its latest campaign to support Perth hotels, which will help drive bookings towards properties still experiencing subdued occupancy levels as a result of COVID-19.

AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the second round of the Stay, Play and Save initiative builds on the success of the first campaign, which saw 3,000 additional room nights secured in Perth hotels.

“The AHA is proud to have helped negotiate an even better version of an already successful campaign, which will help stimulate additional staycation bookings in city hotels.”

“Providing a $200 discount on mid-week bookings of $400 or more has enabled dozens of hotels to offer extraordinary deals, so it has naturally been a very popular, very effective campaign,” Mr Woods said.

“We welcome Government investment in targeted campaigns that provide support to those in WA’s hotel and hospitality industry that are still struggling with the challenges posed by COVID-19.”

“WA’s borders are open but interstate visitation levels are still only a fraction of what they were before the pandemic, so our metropolitan hotels require support through campaigns such as this to fill rooms and support the many thousands of workers they employ.”

“We particularly welcome the food and beverage component in this second round of the campaign, along with the free mystery tourism vouchers, both of which will entice more people to consider a mid-week stay in one of our extraordinary hotels.”

Stay, Play and Save round two bookings can be made from Monday 31 May until Sunday 20 June, 2021 with travel until the end of August.
