Paul Papalia
The Australian Hotels Association (WA) welcomes the announcement by incoming WA Premier Mark McGowan that Paul Papalia will take on the portfolios of Tourism and Racing, Gaming and Liquor, along with Small Business.

AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods congratulates Mr Papalia on his appointments.

“Paul Papalia proved his dedication to our state’s tourism industry while in opposition, and his appointment to the portfolio is good news for WA,” said Mr Woods.

“Mr Papalia has a passion to improve the tourism and hospitality industry and now he’s in the position to do just that.

“70% of jobs in the tourism industry are generated by the hotel and hospitality sector. Combining the tourism and liquor licensing portfolios is extremely important as the hospitality industry needs assurance that our regulatory framework aligns with the opportunities for growth in tourism.”

The AHA looks forward to working with Mr Papalia and his plans for our state as the tourism and hospitality industry is on the verge of providing massive job and economic growth for WA and its people.
