West Coast Academy of Hospitality and Culinary Arts graduate and lecturer Chad Tilbury, of Karrinyup, has earned one of the most respected titles within the hospitality industry – Restaurant and Caterers Association of Western Australia Maitre d’ of the Year.
“It’s exciting to be rewarded but it’s great to have the whole of the hospitality section recognised as a Maitre d’ is only as good as the team behind him” Mr Tilbury said.
Several other Maitre d’s around Western Australia were judged for the top title. RCA judges anonymously visited Perth venues and reviewed a variety of service elements to determine the winner. Scores are based on the entire dining experience.
The Restaurants and Caterers Association (RCA) is a national non-profit organisation that recognises and honours true professionals within the hospitality industry who display outstanding dedication to their profession.
