DSC_0024February 2,3 and 4 2018 – Coast at Port Beach, Fremantle will present the inaugural Fish and Sips Festival.
Celebrity chefs Anna Gare and Kate Lamont will join a host of local producers, wine makers and restaurateurs to toast the very best of WA seafood with market stalls, live music, cooking demonstrations and food trucks combining to showcase our best local produce in a truly beachfront setting.
Sponsored by KB Food Co the beach and carpark adjacent to Coast will be transformed into a laid back summer festival scene, with further activities, tastings and cooking demonstrations taking place inside Coast.
Designed to showcase the very best of WA local produce, from seafood to boutique wines, beers and ciders, Fish and Sips is anticipated to become one of the key events on the WA culinary calendar.
A family friendly, beachfront atmosphere during the day will give way to some more sophisticated night time fun, with beachfront dancing and dining and an array of live music as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.
Coast owner Ian Hutchinson said the festival offered both producers and patrons a unique opportunity to sample some of our best seafood with more than 30 different stalls and themed tents to choose from.
“The focus is on offering small bites and tastings from some of our leading chefs in an iconic, beachfront location,” he said.
“For the producers it’s a chance to interact directly with customers and for those attending it provides an opportunity to take part in small group seafood cooking master classes, wine and food pairing sessions and wine and beer tastings.
“In keeping with the coastal theme, we are anticipating it to be very relaxed and interactive with plenty of opportunity for those attending to chat with the chefs, producers, local restaurateurs and those running the stalls,” he said.
More than 10,000 people are expected to attend over the 5 different ticketed sessions from Friday till the Sunday.
