TGI Fridays opened their first WA venue at Westfield Carousel Cannington and proved to be a very popular destination. There were plenty of people waiting in line to get a table.
Based on a concept which originated in New York back in 1965 – the first time a bar had been designed with women in mind – TGI Fridays is now a world-wide phenomenon with 14 venues in Australia.
There are lots of interesting cocktails on the menu, and the food is pretty darn good too. We tried the signature dish of pork ribs and chicken wings glazed with a Jack Daniels flavoured BBQ sauce, which was just delicious.
We chatted to James Sinclair, CEO of Signature Group who acquired TGI FRIDAYS Asia Pacific in August 2017. James brings WA a taste of Fridays’ rich heritage with a contemporary feel and fresh delicious food.
They make their own corn chips fresh every morning and very tasty they are, too, served with a tasty selection of dips. As the sign over the bar proclaims – In Here It’s Always Friday!
