English born chef Sophie Budd launched her biggest project yet last night in with the unveiling of the Taste Budds Cooking Studio.
Afer being inundated with bookings for her hugely successful cooking classes, Sophie knew it was time to expand and set up a studio.
She ended up refurbishing an old butcher shop in Highgate and judging from the turn out to the opening party last night it will be a huge success.
Sophie moved to Perth in 2007, and her drive, determination and friendly demeanour has helped her popularity skyrocket here in WA.
She has been featured in both radio and TV, as well as being a regular contributor to Menu Magazine.
Prior to arriving in Perth, she was a chef on board Roger Taylor’s (Queen drummer) sailing boat, and she was also ‘Chef de Partie’ at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall.
She has been on the cooking stages at The Chilli Festival and Truffle Festivals here in W.A, and even cooked a BBQ for the Duke of Endiburgh at the foreshore.
