The Australian Hotels Association (WA), in conjunction with Little Creatures, has announced the start of the 2023 WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition, with Western Australians able to vote for their favourite creation from today.
AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the annual competition had again proved popular, with 60 hospitality venues across regional WA and Perth nominating to participate.
“The competition is now in its 16th year and with the incredible creations that have been put forward we have yet again seen the humble steak sandwich elevated,” Mr Woods said.
“For the next month Western Australians have a chance to try the very best steak sandwiches in WA and vote for who they believe should hold the trophy in 2023.”
“Anyone who enjoys a steak sandwich knows there are some key factors that separates the good from the great. This competition aims to separate the great from the outstanding.”
Steak sandwich finalists (four from Country WA, four from Perth) are determined using a combination of methods, including online votes from customers, judging criteria and mystery visits.
Once determined, finalists are invited to compete in a live Steak Sandwich Cook-off, at the AHA Hospitality Expo on the 27 and 28 June, at Crown Perth.
