The third annual Fremantle Folk Festival will be held in the historic Princess May Park, Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle and surrounds, on a new summery date of Saturday 1st December.
Music, arts, food and culture at the heart of our unique port city. This all-day event will include a large outdoor stage, as well as the iconic Clancy’s stage – fully decked out with impressive lighting, visuals, decorations, roaming entertainers, the works!
While there’s plenty of incredible live talent and delicious craft beer for the grownups, there’ll also be a fully dedicated kids activity area with workshops and shows in the Circus WA big top and Nature Play zone – a sensory delight for all ages and types. Limited capacity means you can expect minimal clashes, good facilities, shorter lines and a classic house party feel.
The first line up announcement includes perennial Melbourne festival act Things of Stone and Wood, multi WAM award winner Grace Barbé, troublesome troubadour Peter Bibby, folk prodigy Jack Davies & The Bush Chooks and the beloved rock n blues sounds of Blue Shaddy. It wouldn’t be the Fremantle Folk Festival without a few surprises too, such as the Chung Wah Chinese Orchestra and a giant pub choir led by the brilliant duo that is Jim Fisher and Natalie Gillespie.
