New Foodbank WA ambassador and friend, West Australian celebrity chef Anna Gare has signed on to help in the fight against hunger. She joins a group of Ambassadors such as Shannon Hurn of the West Coast Eagles, Damian Martin from Perth Wildcats, and our own Scott Arnold-Eyers, publisher of Menu Magazine.
Foodbank WA and Anna Gare have a lot in common. Apart from a shared love and devotion to food, they are both equally passionate about feeding those in need and helping people realise the benefits of eating good food. It’s only natural for them to join forces to ensure no West Australian family goes hungry in their time of need.
Food insecurity is on the rise in our state. Foodbank is now feeding over 94,000 people every month. A third are children, who have no other way of getting access to a meal. Worse still, they turn away at least 13,000 people more every month due to the lack of available food.
