Saturday 29th March (10.30am-3pm) In Forrest Place, Perth we are holding ‘Farmer on your Plate’, ‘Getting Agriculture back on the Political Menu’. It will include displays by organisations including WAFarmers, Harvey Fresh, Bees Neez, Australian Golden Outback, Slow Food, Loose Leaf Lettuce Company and more that support or are involved in agriculture/value adding agricultural products, and demonstrate the importance of agriculture. Exhibitors will showcase the positives together with the challenges eg cost of production/ returns on a comparative scale to the minimum wage. Displays will be interactive, fun and informative, forging links with our city cousins and growing their understanding of the importance of farmers to all Australians. Celebrity chefs will prepare tastings for the public (including Vince Garreffa) and speakers will share their passion for the industry and the importance of our farmers.Go to their website for more info.
