The third annual Perth City Easter Fun Day on Saturday 26 March and monthly family activity day Piazzarama on Sunday 3 April at CBD and Northbridge.
Easter is a time for family togetherness and a day out in the city with kids doesn’t get much better than these two events, providing hours of free family entertainment.
The Perth City Easter Fun Day will feature a petting zoo with fluffy bunnies and chicks, and live song and dance shows at 11:30am and 1:30pm. Get there before 2pm to decorate a chocolate bun and make an Easter basket to carry it home in, plus receive a visit from the Easter Bunny.
There’ll also be giant novelty games to play, and littlies who complete the Easter maze can join Alice in Wonderland at the finish line for some Easter colouring-in fun.
At Northbridge Piazza a week later, the city’s first-Sunday-of-the-month kids’ event, Piazzarama, takes on the theme ‘Sweets and Treats’ for Eat Drink Perth.
The regular face painting and balloon artistry will add to the candyland atmosphere, with family feature films Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) on the SuperScreen at 12 noon and 2:30pm.
There’ll be roving Oompa Loompas, Charlie, and Willy Wonka himself making an appearance, with an interactive song and dance treasure hunt for golden tickets, which can be redeemed at the Ye Olde Lolly Shop stand.
Kids can also get aboard the bouncy castle carousel, play giant novelty games, and decorate a cake-pop using the chocolate fountain, marshmallows and candy sprinkles.
You can come with a picnic or choose from a range of convenient healthy food options nearby before settling in on the Piazza lawn for a fun afternoon of sweets and treats.
