Dan Murphy's Margaret River Wine Show

Margaret River has again faired excellently in another wine show. Of the 100 commercial wineries that entered Dan Murphy’s Margaret River Wine Show, a fantastic 87 of them received medals. Chairman Iain Riggs awarded 34 Gold, 85 silver and 257 Bronze Medals.
Xanadu, Ringbolt and Vasse Felix were each dual Gold medalists. Xanadu took out ‘Most Successful Exhibitor’ and ‘Best Shiraz’ which was awarded for its ‘Next of Kin Xanadu Shiraz 2010’.
The ‘Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon 2008’ won ‘Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon 2008’ and also took out ‘Best Red Wine of the Show’.
Vasse Felix took home the ‘Best White Wine of the Show’ for its ‘Vasse Felix Heytsbury Chardonnay 2010’. Consequently, it was also awarded ‘Best Chardonnay’.
Other Gold Award Winners include Woodlands, Cowaramup Wines, Lenton Brae, Amelia Park, Brygon and Edwards. For a full list of results, click here.
