Belgium is having a coffee crisis as prices have increased between 5-10% per cup last year according to new reports. The report explains that in 2011 the price of coffee and sugar soared a few times during the year and the average cup of coffee has increased 5-10%. These fluctuations in price has put a strain on the industry and consumers are no longer buying fresh coffee and are resorting to instant coffee as it is much cheaper.
Hopefully this increase in price won’t hit our shores and we can keep enjoying a good cup of coffee at a reasonable price!
